Ukraine troops pose with Ukrainian flag in Russian village as Putin orders 76k to evacuate | World | News

Footage has emerged purportedly showing Ukrainian soldiers posing with a Ukrainian and Georgian flag after taking control of a Russian village. The video was filmed in the village of Poroz, located in the Belgorod region – two miles from the Ukraine border.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, the regional governor, said that the situation was being investigated. Pro-Russia Telegram channel Rybar claimed that the Ukrainian soldiers captured two locals who were “hastily retreating.”

This comes after Ukrainian troops took control of numerous locations in the Kursk region with a surprise incursion earlier this week.

This week, Putin declared a “federal emergency” while denouncing the attack as a “provocation.”

The Russian President has already sent reinforcements to the region, now reports suggest he could deploy Siberian conscripts to fight Ukrainian soldiers.

As claimed by the ‘People of Baikal’ news website, relatives of the conscripts say men from the Irkutsk region, Siberia, are being readied to with three-month-long fighting courses.

The website said: “They will go to the border territories to replace the conscripts from the autumn conscription.”

On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia must “feel” the war.

He added: “Russia brought the war to our land and should feel what it has done.

“Ukrainians know how to achieve their goals. And we did not choose to achieve our goals in the war.”
