Saudi Arabia issues major update on incredible new £3.8bn seaside city | World | News

A grand seaside city worth £3.8bn ($5bn) focusing on creating an ultra-luxury tourism destination along the northwestern coast of the Red Sea is coming up in Saudi Arabia. The Amaala project is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and promote tourism.

A latest video shows the ongoing work in Amaala construction has been unveiled and it’s larger than life.

The Amaala Project aims to develop a world-class destination for wellness, healthy living, and meditation, catering to the ultra-luxury segment of the tourism market.

Spread over 3,800 square kilometres, it showcases the Kingdom’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and cultural heritage. It comprises three distinct communities: Triple Bay, The Island, and The Coastal Development.

The video showcases the development coming to life, with workers constructing various buildings. The site presently features blue waters, soft sands, and numerous cranes.

The post states: “Nestled within the breathtaking natural landscape of @AMAALA_sa, Triple Bay offers a lifestyle dedicated to wellbeing.

“With luxurious resorts and residences set against the backdrop of the Red Sea’s pristine blue waters and the majestic coastal mountains, it promises unforgettable experiences year-round”.

With its pristine, crystal-clear waters and secluded bays surrounded by majestic mountains, Amaala provides a breathtaking seascape and is home to one of the world’s most exclusive wellness retreats.

Enhanced by top-tier resorts, a wide range of recreational activities, and diverse adventure sports, Amaala represents a new standard in luxury and wellness.

In October 2022, Amaala merged with The Red Sea Development Company to form RSG. The total development will include 27 hotels with a combined 37,000 keys.

RSG has adopted a construction management approach to deliver its projects.

Dedicated to the arts and culture, the project will host an array of cultural events, art galleries, and museums.

It will feature exclusive residences and boutique hotels, offering a serene environment surrounded by natural beauty.
